Hi! I'm Hailey.

I’ve been a news designer with The Washington Post since May of 2022, where I work on both daily print pages and larger print and digital projects.

I studied at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at UNC Chapel Hill and graduated in May 2021 with a degree in journalism and media, and a minor in creative writing.

During my time at UNC, I developed skill sets in graphic design, illustration, UX/UI, web development, motion graphics and publication design. I was a graphics reporter for our school's media outlet course, UNC Media Hub, where I collaborated with print and broadcast journalists to collect data and create visuals for pieces that were published in various local publications.

I’m excited about crafting design to tell stories and to amplify data. I’m a Carolina girl and I enjoy yoga, playing piano and drinking lots of coffee.
